Fruits and Pie Fillings
Fruits and Pie Fillings are raw-packed. This means that the jars are
filled with uncooked fruit and then hot liquids are poured over them
before the hot water bath to seal the jars.  This preserves the original
texture of the fruit for the freshest taste when the jars are opened.
Peach and Cherry Pie fillings will need to be mixed in a bowl with
some cornstarch before putting into the pie shell.  As the pie cools the
liquid will thicken.
